6 day Zambian River Trail, Zambia

Day 1: Sussi Lodge, Zambia

A representative will meet you at Livingstone Airport. Sussi Lodge is situated on the northern edge of the Park, where luxurious treehouses hide discreetly amongst giant Ebony trees on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi River.

The Park is best known for its Giraffe and White Rhino but also boasts Buffalo, Zebra, Sable, Eland, Wildebeest, migratory Elephant and many other species.

During the next 2 days your activities will include: game drives with experienced guides, visits to the Falls by yourself, boat cruises, fishing and an optional choice of all the 'adrenaline' extras for which the area is famous. Overnight at Sussi Lodge.

Day 2: Sussi Lodge, Zambia

Another day of excitement and romance on the banks of Africa’s most spectacular river on this Zambia tour. Overnight at Sussi Lodge.

Day 3: Chichele Presidential Lodge or Puku Ridge Tented Camp, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Transfer to Livingstone airport for your flight to Mfuwe. The transfer from Mfuwe to Chichele Lodge takes approximately one hour but don’t expect to get bored! The entire journey is a safari in itself as you pass through the unique South Luangwa National Park on your way to the lodge.

You could see Elephant or even Lion so stay alert! The lodge has a magnificent hilltop site with sumptuous, air-conditioned accommodation. A turn of the century safari lodge atmosphere completes the picture. There is also the possibility to stay at Puku Ridge Tented Camp.

The safari tents have magnificent wrap around views of the floodplains below, a wonderful opportunity in this remote wildlife area. The Park is noted for its big game species particularly Leopard, Lion and Elephant and a whole host of antelope species. Overnight at Chichele Presidential Lodge or Puku Ridge Tented Camp.

Day 4 & 5: Chichele Presidential Lodge and Puku Ridge Tented Camp, South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

Two more days spent walking and driving in this special sanctuary. Overnight at Chichele Presidential Lodge or Puku Ridge Tented Camp.

Day 6: Mfuwe, Zambia

Transfer back to Mfuwe for your flight to Lusaka International Airport and onward connections.
